I agree there are an awful lot of very bold colours competing for one another, it seems to me to be a little oversaturated and perhaps a little too much contrast.

Hey Jay,
I'm with Jonathan on this one.....but I do think you have some great elements working here so revisiting this one will certainly help. Comp wise, I would only tone down the central green leaf at top of the frame. After you re-work the lilly....try selectively lightening the central part....slightly....just to make it pop! This one is definitely worth reworking.....so give it a shot and re-post it below if you do!

Good feedback.................here's my first take on re-work. I need to think about it more...........Jay

Hey Jay,
Definitely a step in the right direction......how do you feel going this dark with the BG? I did levels layers on the center and shadow areas of the WL.....then darkened the BG same way. Let me know your thoughts.

Hey Jay, very cool comp. I like a lot of saturation so don't mind that. I like your repost much better then the original.

Hi Roman,

First off, thanks for time you are putting in to this. It certainly pops the image, it looks great, I remember a slightly warmer early morning image.

You are in the area of PS skill that is beyond me, would you mind sending me you PS file?

Here is my Nikon Capture NX2 version of you r recommendations along with my memory of the image. This has been invaluable......thank you so much.

Jay

Lovely image - especially the repost, Jay! Get yourself a good PS book - once you learn a few basic skills you'll be off and running with all kinds of minor touchups. (I always recommend "The Missing Manual" for whatever version of PS you own.

Jay, I really liked the flower and the reflection in the OP but the BG was a bit busy. The repost fixed that and now the whole thing looks great!
