I went to Niagara Falls this weekend and photographed Bridals Vail in the American Falls with my Canon 5D MK II while on the Maid of the Mist boat. If you've never been to Niagara Falls you have to go and when you do, you must do the Maid of the Mist (my 3rd time). ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/3200 sec, -0.67 EV, EF24-105mm f/4.0-5.6L, 105mm, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. Comments Welcome.....

Hi Richard - like it - wondering what it would have looked like with a nice slow shutter speed.
Need a 10 stop filter ;)

Hi Richard

I like this also. I like the way the water is 'hanging' in mid air and that it leads me to thoughts of the crashing sound that quickly follows...(I have been there.) I also Like the contrast of the Yellow coats against the white water.

Lance, It was hard enough bouncing around the boat holding the camera still. A slow speed would have killed me. Having said that, I think the rapid water (25mph) still portrays great movement.

this is pretty cool. i didnt realize you were on a boat. nice techs for that! i think you should do a selective color change. change all the yellow ponchos to red!! :)
