While photographing hummingbirds in my back yard, this little verdin Auriparus flaviceps landed on my honeysuckle bush which was buzzing with bees. I shot a series of images as this bee flew right at it. The verdin lunged at the bee (another frame) but missed, and when he resettled on the branch, the two were in near perfect alignment.
Nikon D2x, Nikon 200-400mm f/4 AF-S, f/6.3, ISO 200, 1/500 sec. Manual exposure, Matrix metering.
