Beautiful textures, forms, lights, and shadows. A+. Definitely one to frame.

Two small suggestions:

1) Find the brightest highlight at the peak and set white point there, between 240 and 245. That will
bring all the contrasts out more dramatically without clipping anything.

2) Mask along the top left ridge and differentiate that just a tad more from the sky (darken the sky
a tiny bit and lighten the edge of the sand a tiny bit).

Beautifully done! Congrats!

Hey Peter,
Very nice comp!!! Super strong lines and contrasts!!! I think David took this up tonal range wise......where it belongs! Input the tweaks and this one will really shine!!!

Hi Peter, good comp with nice layering. When I first looked at the image I thought it was a bit flat. David's repost lightened and added contrast to the image. Nice one!

I'm only a beginner and cannot confidently offer suggestions for improvement but I do know what I like...and this is a really strong composition IMO..! Generally I prefer to include the extra dimension of color, but I am slowly being converted by images like this...

Hi Don,being a beginner certainly doesn't disqualify you from stating your opinion. You can certainly state what you like or feel needs improvement in an image. This will also help you with your own photography by analyzing others. So feel free to jump in....

Thanks Dave, I am happy to forward my opinion, but I guess what I meant is that I am often lost in thinking how a image might be improved... Due mostly to the quality of the images posted...
