almost full frame, just cropped fopr comp., no decoys used, just patience-Canon 7D-500mm F4 handheld-IS off

I'd like to lighten up the wings more but unfortunately, shadow/highlights works poorly for me with the 7D. I used curves and levels as much as I could. Suggestions welcome.

Nice pose, eye contact, and sharpness. The 7D doesn't do well when trying to bring out shadow detail; the Mark IV is much better in that regard. The bird is a little tight in the frame for my taste, and there appears to be a yellow color cast.

Beautiful flight capture and ditto Doug's comments . I would like to see more canvas all the way around. Awesome that there are no shadows on the underwing. Many thanks for sharing.

Ah so that is what a young Peregrine looks like up close!! Very nice image,
Also agree about expanding the canvass...just too tight in the frame for my taste...
Love the way he is looking directly at you!! Also the sky looks a bit over saturated....
having said that.....Wonderful....:)
