Hi Jeff

Tough animal to frame !! Just cropping behind the flower would improve the image, compelling part is the head area !! Also having the prominent oof flower in the foreground grabs attention !! Maybe waiting for the snake to coil toward you?

Tech wise would lower the ISO since you don't need that much shutter speed and would have been nice for softer light !!! ... btw don't have many keeper snake images !!

One possibility: Rotate the image CCW, crop as Al suggested, behind the flower, and maybe also
take out the blurred cactus in the background merging with the snake's nose. I also added a
vignette to draw more attention toward the head.

I forgot to mention this was one of my ICF Pro-Tour entries. No more than 10% crop and no digital shenannigans.

I do like the crop up to the flower. I'm opposed to digitally adding or removing elements of the image.

I do appreciate the input:)

That's cool. Different strokes, different folks ...

I like David's repost idea, but I would prefer it with a bit more thickness to the body included below. Very cool to see the snake wrapping up around a cactus like this. Looks like the scales are hardy enough to withstand the needles! Great sighting Jeff:cool:.
