This Venus Flytrap has been digesting the fly for about a day. Comments and criticism welcome.

Beautiful !
Excellent use of lighting (from back) to show the fly as silhouette inside this Venus trap.

I also love the lighting in this. I wish we had a little more clarity that this was, indeed, a fly inside here but what a great image this is otherwise. Super exposure and lighting. Love the detail of the spines and the "grain" of the plant.

Hey Bill,
Very effective use of the backlighting! Perhaps a bit of lightening of the greens on the left of the flytrap......would further emphasize the shape of the fly even more. Just something to toy around with. Very creative and very nicely thought out comp for a really dramatic final result!

Very nice shot of nature in action. I agree that lightening this somewhat would really help accentuate the fly.

Thanks for the comments. I did try a lot of variations on exposure to try to get the fly clear. Part of the problem is that after a day or perhaps more, the digestive process has begim to take its toll. I'm going to be looking for more opportunities.
