Taken tonight. The heron I posted before was not in his usual spot but I came upon this heron on the way back to the condo.

Roy,

It is a little too hot and too green for me. Just took it into Photoshop and did an Auto Curves adjustment and it improved (IMHO) dramatically. When you do that the bird stands out really well and the OOF BG is great as it the plants in the FG

Agree with Michael here. Composition wise it is good.
Just need more contrast and fixing the color a bit.

Thanks Cory, I must say that the greens are muted compared with the real life greens.

It's a bit rare to see and get to photograph these guys. Congrats on a nice catch. Color is definately a tad wonky. A little work should turn it into a keeper.

Hi - Like the overall scene - think you just need to revisit the PP - looks a little bright and the green could be toned down a little.
Bird is sharp.

Love the bird and setting .. .would re load and try again !! Something went South while in PS .. Michael's guess seems like a good one !!
