Well done. The exposure is perfect and the DOF choice really shows off the details. Kind of an abstract feel. TFS

Hi Sandy, I like the fact you offset the center along with pleasing lighting. Good crop with just enough detail for my taste. Nicely handled!

The colors are marvelous, as is the composition. Lovely light--it seems to glow.

I also love the "glow" at the base of the petals, Sandy! Very nice composition - there doesn't seem to be anything I'd add or take away from - it all works. Did you use a reflector or any kind of lighting set up to get that great light down at the base of the flower?

Natural, diffused light through heavy shade trees. This was still on the bush - hence the tight crop to avoid leaves and other flowers. Tweaked a bit in CS to lighten base.
Thanks for all the kind comments!

Very nice colours, a pleasing image. I realise you have chosen the frame carefully, it is beautifully colour matched and it is not overwhelming, but I hope you don't mind my saying I think it detracts from the image. My personal choice would have been no border or a very fine one.:)
