Remembering last summer... (My first post on BPN)

For my first participation to BPN I present you this picture I took in East Angus, Quebec last August...

The Red admiral is a really photogenic butterfly with fire colors (in fact in french we name it "Vulcain" in honor to the God of fire "Vulcan").

Nature makes so wonderful creatures which we cross often without noticing them. Photography let us freeze those moments of contemplation et let us share them with others like here :D

Superb image, very very nice BG, DOF, sharpness.

If I could find anything at all as a critique, I would say that I would like to see a vertical crop to show more of the flower petals. As a very minor point I would tone down some of the yellow OOF focus BG flowers so they will not compete for attention with the subject.

What was the lens used?

This picture is full-framed... Next time I will try to get a full frame vertical shot: excellent idea!


What was the lens used?


Robert I'm using a bridge not a DSLR... My bridge is a Panasonic DMC FZ-20 with a great Leica lens...
