Excellent sharpness and details on the body, Tim.
Nice light & exposure. Funny pose - as though its going to slip off !

Hi Tim, wonderful composition, nice even background in exactly the right shade of green and wonderful details on the bug.

Tim, it would be helpful if you would give us more information other than the small bit of data you've included here. Others like to learn from a good image (as this is) and the more you tell us the more we can all pick up from you!

This really is near perfection in my eyes. I absolutely love the pose, the composition, and the beautiful greens in this. If it were my image, I think I'd take a stab at keeping the BG totally vertical by running those green lines all the way to the bottom. (They tend to stop about a 1/4 of the way up from the bottom - it would be nice to see them run straight on down.) Lovely details on the lacewing and beautiful exposure. This really is a beauty!

Tim, I'm amazed at the DOF at f4. This is fantastic!

Hi Ken,
The image is a crop, this is a handy trick with macro, use a wide aperture to blur the background and by
keeping the subject small in the frame the DOF is enough.

Hey Tim,
I was going to mention BG noise.....but I didn't see you mention an ISO. After readin gyour crop comment.....that is quite possibly the real culprit......but running some NR on it may help. I think the pose and BG are very cool!!! Do the NR tweak and this wil go up another notch.
