Yes, they can park sideways. They are as long as big SUVs are wide.

Thats what I thought but interesting you can't in parking meters :( I know with motorcycles you can only park one per space, crazy !!!

only problem when you park sideways is there are cars on both sides blocking the doors and you have to get in through the hatch :) lol its beyond me how they parallel park there, its funny that most of them dont even put their handbrake on so when people bump the cars during parking it does less damage

my biggest pet peve of Paris parking !! but thankfully the subway is awesome there

These cars are great for parking in NYC. However, the city doesn't allow the sideways parking.
