Worked the water lillies at Longwood Gardens last week. I love that they dye the water black! They were pruning some of the buds and leaves in the pools and this leaf wound up floating towards the bloom. Used flash as main light to get the glow!
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 180mm macro @ f32 for 2/250sec and ISO 640. MT24 twin lights at +2 hand held.

Very nice Roman, doesn't look flashed to me at all. Great comp, and I like the slight water circles comming off the lily.

Very nicely done,Roman!
Black water-thats a superb way to expose the lily.
I really like the compositon,it's a textbook example.

Absolutely love this one, Roman, wish we had a place like that here. Fairchild has about four Lily ponds, but they are busy and hard to isolate, pule the heat is unbearable in the summer.
You rule!

I think I agree - this is definitely one of the nicest lily photos I've ever seen on this forum. Outstanding exposure and pp. Everything is perfect!
