Saw this nice beetle between the grass.

Thijs, I really like this! Nice diagonal line, good perch, & a nice BG. You've got really good clarity on the beetle - got all but the one antenna and the front foot in focus. Did you try any images at f11? I do like what you have here, though - it holds my attention perfectly well.

Might try a slight increase in contrast just to see if it gives the image a little more "pop".

Liked the beetle's pose. Curving blade of grass gives a nice aesthetic touch to the composition.
Lovely clean BG. Guess you had just enough shutter speed to try f/11 as Julie suggested.

Thanks for the comments! I only had one shot while he sat like this, than he walked away. So i couldn't try f11. I did use some more contrast, but the black of the beetle didn't come out nice than
