.... of Common Yellowthroats I made last week at Campobello Island, New Brunswick. This guy provided a variety of opportunities to capture on different perches and I liked the simplicity of this one.

I cropped to about 70% of original remaining, removed a colour cast in LAB colour, removed a couple of OOF branches, ran some noise reduction on the BG, and sharpened the subject.

Addendum- That's cobwebs on top of the bill.

John, loved this one. bird is so perfectly oriented w.r.t the sensor and that subtle head turn...awesome sharpness too. These little ones are hard to nail. Well done. More DOF would have been better, but looks like you were already at the techs' limits.

I agree John, nice work. Clean BG, good-looking perch and good positioning on the bird all come together.

This is a common but beautiful bird, I have tried with no success to get a descent image of one and nothing yet...
Lovely bird, HA and bg, my compliments sir.

John:

Nice critique by KD, really like the pose and bird being parallel to sensor.
I have some of this species, and find it hard not to overexpose the yellows on the throat. They look pretty good here, can see some detail in that area.

Cheers

Randy
