Chiffchaff with chicks

I saw these chicks sitting on a brench. The mother fed them very often. I could stand there and photograph them without disturbing them

This is one sharp looking little chick. Cute! :)

I do wish the large branch running through the bottom of the frame wasn't so prevalent in the shot. Even though I would have preferred a shot looking down into the nest, I think this view might have looked more intimate if the out of focus branch wasn't such a large element. It looks like the only way to have gotten a better angle would have been to get higher.

Having said that, I think that big branch looks like a sturdy place on which to build a nest. Smart birdies.

Cute chick, thijs. Believe I would crop some more off the bottom, so it did not overwhelm this little guy.
