Looks like a Western Scrub Jay to me. Good looking specimen in nice colorful surroundings.

this was actually a lucky shot. I was setup to take some humming bird shots and as I went to grab an extender I saw this guy sitting there. I spun around and grabbed a couple of shots.
This images was edited with Viveza to bring the BG down and then I used Coloreffects Tonal Contrast.
Thanks for the kinds words and identifying this bird.
