infrared shot of the West Quoddy Light in Lubec Maine. Stumbled across it in my archives and processed it with a lot of the Nik plug ins I have now that I didn't have back in 2008 when I took it - esp. the structure setting in viveza 2 which I used on the clouds. The land on the otherside of the inlet is Canada.

Well composed with the road as leading line to the lighthouse and proper inclusion of the pleasing cloud formation. Good use of Nik Viveza Structure's settings.

Overall, I feel a contrast tweek is needed. I tried a mild s-curve (Linear Contrast preset in PSCS4) and that was just enough IME.

Hey Michael,

I would exlore bringing up the lighthouse itself a touch more....even if it is the shadow side....just to bring it more into focus. Very nicely composed using the leading lines very effectively!

Love the IR. I like the composition a lot and nice job with the conversion. It appears to me that the re-post has a lot more noise/grain in the sky. Will be going up to this place in a few weeks...
