This one is from an year back. My PP skills were quite poor then.....hence the halo :-) I realise I need to reprocess this file.

40D. 300 f4L(non-IS) at f/4. 1/4000s. iso 640( had set up for some some egrets flying overhead). exposure and curves work to create silhouette.

I like the silhouette idea and dark-blue sky. I might darken the legs of the bird and the piece of green in the lower left. There are some artifacts in the BG, maybe from resaving?

Axel, I see what you are saying. I will revisit the raw file and start over again. I had just started bird photography when I made this. One year from that point, I should definitely be able to do more justice to the raw file. Thx for the advice.

Kaustubh, I like the silhouette against the blue sky, and to enhance it even more, I would maybe lose the foliage ULC. Well thought out.

Great color combination, agree on darkening the legs, but I kinda like the greens.

I like the little bit of light on the legs - like the OOF URHC frames the bird nicely. And the black against the blue is v nice.
