Hot spring "Fountain Paint Pot", north of Old Faithful Geyser. Yellowstone NP on Memorial Day.
Canon 1D MK IV, 70-200F2.8 IS, 1.4 tele , 98mm, "forgot to remove teleconverter" oops! Iso 250, F5.6, 1/1250ec, manual mode.

Layton, How you doing? I see you enjoyed your trip and have enjoyed your emails of images.

I like the FG (not too much or too little). I like the springs (colorful, dominate in the image, geyser going off). I find the trees in the BG distracting however. I browser cropped right to the top of the geyser below the trees and feel that strengthens the image.

Hi Layton, Interesting view with good action. Agree with Robert where I find the trees a bit distracting and agree with his crop suggestion...

Hey Layton,
Glad to see enjoying your trip. I also agree with the crop recommendation.....if you had more than leaving it in was the way to go.....as presented the crop works......although you could clone/patch some and then crop.....to not make the water splash tight. Nice and sharp where itneed to be and the colors look spot on!

agree with the crop suggestion. the colors are fantastic here. the action aint bad either!!:)

Looks great Layton. Ok as is cropped a suggested seems to strengthen it a bit....
