I have images that have a better HA on the father from this series but this image with the chick grabbing the fish captures the decisive moment and is my favorite.

40D, 500 f/4, 1/1600 at f/5.6, Aperture Priority, Evaluative metered +1 1/3, Raw, ISO 400, tripod, medium crop.

The eye contact between parent and chick makes this image work for me. Well done Don!

Wonderful feeding image. You captured the tenderness well. I like the chicks open mouth and the BG adds nicely to the image. I can see why it's one of your favorites-I love it:)

Hi Don,
Outstanding image. The low angle and timing just perfect.

You can try to put a finger on this why it isn't perfect, still it is amazing. Ditto Denise, you captured the tenderness perfectly.

Lovely image, Don. IMO the interaction makes the adult HA irrelevant in this image.

Don,

Well seen and captured. HA not a worry here with such a great interaction.

I was looking at a pano crop and like it. Not that I like it better then what you presented, without the blue and cropped pano you have a much different look. Either way, an impressive image.

Captured at just the right moment. BG is beautiful as is the overall image. Great story told in just one frame.

A very catchy title, to boot :)
