Dale, it's a winner for me. Totally off the wall for me and the strong, bold, dramatic colours work extremely well. The coiled pose says it all. Good luck.

Special and unique. And dramatic. May we assume that this was taken in controlled conditions? If so, please let us know the situation. Where was the snake posed? Was it agitated into posing?

IAC, it is spectacular.

Have the results been announced?

It was good seeing you at the dinner.

It was great seeing you again.. We'll know July 10th. I am again, one of the 3 grand prize winners.

This was a contolled situation. Didn't have to agitate it or any of the many I ran into. Pretty aggresive and BIG snakes down there. Placed snake for effect.

Still killer. The tongue and the sunset colors put this one way over the top. Good luck!!!!

Very nice. A winner for sure.

I am surprised that a Conservation competition accepts images under controlled conditions.

I remember you being the overall winner in the 2008 edition. Look forward to the final announcement. I am sure you will be the overall winner this year as well. Look forward to your other images.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

My intention was not to disparage either the photographer or the image, but to make folks (like Sabya, above) aware that in some contests setting up reptile, insect, and other images is not only well within the rules but encouraged. My intent as it almost always is was educational :)
