From the recently completed Images for Conservation Pro-Tour of Nature Photography contest. Judging is now done and I can post some of my images.

Here I have a jumping spider on the very tip of a spanish dagger (yucca).

Awesome detail and color. The background is gorgeous. Must be a small spider!

These are relatively small - nice details here Robert. I find myself wondering about a bit of CW rotation to bring the eyes up closer to the ULC - just a suggestion. I wish the tip of the plant were a bit more in focus but I also like the blurry abstractness of it as presented.

Rotation not allowed in the contest, basically right out of the camera. I was going for the abstraction. Did some with even shallower DOF and they were wild......

Nice job! Lovely bg. I like how the plant fades away, and thought you had done it in pp until I read your comment. Glad I don't see spiders this close.

Wow, great use of DOF, little critter looks like it's emerging from an emerald ocean :)

Very cool Dale! I think the DOF is working really well here.....just enough for me here......not sure I would like shallower but it would be interesting to compare.
