Tripod, caterpillar in shadow light using colapssible reflector, BG in full sun, slightly croped, s/h, curves, sharpening. Dont know the ID...

Hey Ovidiu,
Nice choice of DOF as the BG went nicely blurred.....caterpiller is nice and shap with VG details in the body and the reflector looks like it pulled out needed detail in there. I think the diagonal comp works very well also.....very well done overall!

Another fantastic image, Ovidiu! The comp is perfect and the bug and BG look great.

There's a spot right in front of its face the should be cloned away.

Hey Ken, thanks about the spot:o, you are right...now I see another one:eek:
Julie, I was prepared with the camera on tripod and watched the caterpilar moving around, hoping to get a good pose. This pose just hapened and after that he turns around. I took about 30 frames, different pose but just few in good focus and acceptable pose. Liked this one the most.

Ken's right - there is a tiny dust bunny right in front of his face. Everything else is wonderful, Ovidiu! Patience is the key to getting these little guys to cooperate and yours really paid off!
