I captured this Kori Bustard in the Kgalagadi earlier this week. I was fortunate that it took flight, as they very seldom fly. I thought the backlight could add a bit of atmosphere to the image, especially with the sun streaming through the flight feathers.

Nothing short of remarkable, I hope you have some flight pictures to share.

Just out of interest the ground looks very different, is it a dried up pan?

Good to see him in the open, as these guys are normally in high grass. I like the posture, and sharpness.
