Found these two plants in the botanical island garden this past weekend. I liked the way they seemed to be relating to each other with the positioning of their leaves. I also liked the bright colors of the stalks so I gave it a couple of quick comps and liked this one best.

Cloned out a few imperfections in the leaves and water, very small crop to straighten the image a bit.

Hey Jules, it does look like they are conversing. Very cool comp, and like the nice sharp details and lighting.

Jules, I saw a similar comp. yesterday and actually thought about stopping to take the shot. I didn't and I have regretted it. Nicely done.

Hey Jules,
As usual, simplicity is key and you nailed it here! I think you could toy around with a few tweaks to take it into other directions but the feel and mood of this as presented is very nice!

Denise, isn't that always the way? If you pass on the photo you kick yourself later. If you take the shot you get home and wonder, "Now what did I find so interesting about that?" Never fails! :D

LOL!
I like this simple photo but the title takes my enjoyment up a notch! This is one of those subjects that I probably would have never given a second glance to.

The water as a BG is very beautiful and the framing is great Jules. Love the flow of the leaves and their different angles. Just see a few cloning spots on the two left leaves.

Agree, Jackie...they weren't in the best shape and I was in a hurry. Good eye!
