The Great Osprey Fight of 2010 !!!

I think Fabs posted one from this encounter at the time it happened but just found cleaning up images. Action took place this past January and it was vicious.

Not sure what went on but the osprey on to brought a branch to the nest (of the other two) as if it was its own nest, the pair proceeded to throw the branch out the nest and evicted the bird. After the eviction the bird flew around the nest making threatening passes resulting in some physical (heavy) contact. Was tough working with all the tree branches but this is the best I got. Only removed one oof branch. Action lasted for over ten minutes with the attacking bird giving up and no apparent injuries.
