Colors of Autumn

I shot this in Autumn at Ken Lockwood Gorge in Califon NJ. It's only 15 min from my house so I can check when the colors are strong. The shooting is done from about 9-11 and then the harsh light starts hitting the water. Great place for reflections and water flow.

Hi Kobus, Thanks for the comments..curious to know what about the IQ you feel isn't there? sharpness,too much going on,framing etc?
I like to post images at times I feel have good qualities but there are other factors that can make me unsure. Sometimes we,as makers, are too close to our images to see certain flaws that others might point out.
Good exercise for all of us...

Hi Dave sorry for not being more clear;). I feel that the rock in the FG is a bit on the soft side

Very nice, Dave. Interesting idea having the colors reflected instead of shown directly. I agree about selectively sharpening the foreground rock. I also
took most of the cyan out of the background rocks.

David beat me to it! Nice job on sharpening the FG rocks and taking some of the cooler colors out. Is that the rock where I went in?

Hi, no it's further downstream Roman. I do have you wading around downstream..
Thanks for the repost David. The rocks had even more of a bluish caste than shown which I toned down but definately not enough. I like the repost and the sharpening. A definate improvement

Ok, Roman took the plunge I gather. ;) I like the sharpening, but is it my imagination that the horizon is tilted down to the left? LOVE the colors, Dave.

Hi Katherine, It might appear that way due to image's perspective. I use a bubble level with landscapes so I'm pretty sure I was showing level on it. It would be an easy fix!
