Went out early this morning in the search for some damselflies.

Canon eos 30d, Sigma 150mm, tripod, wired remote shutter, mirror lock-up.

Iso 400, f8, 1/8e

Thijs, this is really nice. I would have liked to see the entire bug and just a bit more DOF would be good but it's sharp where it needs to be and having the head turned towards you really adds to the shot.

Super image of the df, thijs! I agree with Ken that the entire insect would have been nice but understand the DOF you were working with here. Excellent sharpness on the insect and drops but I feel the perch is a tiny bit soft.

Nice dew on the damselfly!
I would've cropped it either with lesser of the body or the whole.
Good picture!
