Another from my just completed Arches/Canyonlands tour. This time the storm just cleared long enough for some drama......always nice when the weather cooperates. I have a few with the rear mitten in the sun, but definitely prefer this image for the moodier look.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the 28-135mm lens at ISO 640 for 1/80 sec. at f14. Hand held in the pouring rain! One of the very few times I will HH.

crazy good, my friend!! the rainbow is obviously the icing on the cake, but the light in the foreground and on the big mitten is nice too!

Fantastic capture, Roman. So much drama here. Must be wonderful being there when all this happened. TFS.

GREAT shot here well done. I do feel its just a bit flat here. I have used Dodge and burn to bring some conrast in and detail.

Nice, Roman! What caused you to HH this shot?

Hey Roman, Another unusual mitten shot...thats two! The rainbow is well defined with the fog adding a mood.
I like the original and Kobus' repost. Nice capture...

Rock! On!

Love the "gray eminence" lurking in the background. And that rainbow! Well ...

Thanks all! Kobus, I did go that way at first....but pulled back as it was raining hard..do like the added boost though so may go that direction for final version! The heavy rain was the reason for hand holding.....I punish my equipment enough, so didn't want to put it on the tripod and have it sit in the downpour....used my body to cover it most of the time while running around andpulled it up for a few quick shots!

hey roman, maybe some fresh western rain would be a welcome change to the sea water it's usually sitting in!!:D

Definitely a unique take on the place, very nice! I do like puch so prefer the repost, but understand sticking to a truer rendition.

Great atmospheric quality here Roman. I do like and was going to recommend a bit more punch to the FG mitten. Local contrast enhancement perhaps for that.

Roman, you lucky dog! A great image.

I do not prefer the repost shown. The light is simply not natural for the conditions of the scene.

missed this - awesome drama and compo...I agree the hidden mitten needs a bit of a darker look :)
