Shot in Green Valley AZ. I liked how the foliage framed the subject , yet still gave a feeling of habitat.

Cropped a bit for comp.

Very nice setting, good-looking specimen, good sharpness and BG. I would only run NR on the BG.

Joe:

Well exposed, nicely framed as mentioned, pleasant BG, good pose.
Overall I like the comp. Your cropping choices are somewhat dictated by the foliage.
A very small thing, but I find my eye wanting to see the entire leaf on the extreme right frame edge. I know, more canvas might introduce other problems. Just how it struck me.

Cheers

Hey Joe,
Agree about the NR on the BG but the environs make this for me! Love the way they frame the bird. I might take a different approach than Randy and crop off the greyish tip on right. Very well done and really nice capture!

I think this is adorable and love the way the branches frame the bird.

You couldnt have framed this any better Joe. Lovely pose against a great OOF BG.
