Shot this in my backyard since I have a few varieties blooming now.
Nikon D300,200mm macro,F22,1/320,twin speedlights,tripod mtd. -2/3 comp.

Perfect whites and yellows, Dave! These peonies are not easy to photograph because those yellows want to go out of bounds so easily but you did a fantastic job on this one. Did you have to do any adjusting to the RAW file or did you find a way to control the yellows in camera? If so, please share!

Hi Julie, Actually the yellow was a bit dark in the exposure and all I did was lighten it in PS. No other manipulation...

Like the composition and DOF, details on white and perfect looking yellows. Beautiful flower and image.

Great details and comp and lovely lighting on the yellow. The white petal in the upper left is drawing my eye, maybe due to the irregularities and the fact that part of it is clipped.

Hey Dave,
As mentioned above very nice job on the yellows and whites. I see what Barbara is talking about on the ULC.....easy fix with crop or clone/patch if you so chose......not really a big distraction for me. Not the easiest flower to get right!

Beautiful. I love that bright yellow and the interesting curves of the stamen. Also, the simplicity of the colors.
