like the pose, nice low angle. overall a tad dark, would brighten the bird and sharpen a tad

Like the exposure, background and water. Still deciding on the duck. I like the pose, just wish for it's bill. Overall a pleasing image.

Love the low angle, the surprise look, and how the triangular blue that leading to the bird in the water. Nice feather details on the bird too. Agree about lighten the image up.

Everyone.

Thanks for the feedback. I have an image with the bill (not preening), but it looses the effect of the staring eye. It is, also my biggest question, if the image can work. Still not sure.

I will brighten it up a bit.

Hi Jay, I feel the image works fine! The repost is a definate improvement. Soft lighting, good detail, sharp, nicely muted backround, low angle and well placed within the frame. What more can I say...other than I like the staring eye...

Hi Jay

It is a good looking image with a good bg, low perspective and doing a behavior. Main thing I wish you would have had was light angle, the breast of the duck is sort of dark and will be difficult to obtain detail

Same image with the sun behind you would have been all different !! It is a lovely image as presented !!!

Alfred,

Thanks for positive feedback. I keep trying to get a good position with sun behind me, but wasn't available.

H Jay - repost is better -IMHO - Good to see you starting to push that ISO up a little.
Agree with the above comments - Light angle or a little flash required here to fill the shadow on the breast area.
Like the low shooting angle ad the pose.
Keep em coming :)

I like the repost a lot. Lots of detail and very interesting pose.

I like how the bird is centred in the brownish/bluish mud and it fades off into the green. Good positioning of the bird in the frame and setting.
