really love the background and pose of the bug. just wish the beetle was much larger in the frame to see it better. I think it looks sharp, just difficult for me to tell. but it really stands out well against that background!

Thomas, I think this totally works. Yes, it's always great when you can see the bug up close and personal but this really shows how small he is in a very big world! You left in enough environment to really give us a feel for where he was without there being anything distracting to keep us from missing him. Lovely lighting - might suggest increasing the contrast with a curves adjustment just a little to bring those top tones out a bit more. You could also crop a bit off the right side of the frame to bring the bug more into the ROT's position.
Such a fun image! Love it! :D

Very nice image and especially the back ground. Nice to see the green blades going after the beetle. Great job Thomas.

Hey Thomas,
While I gnerally prefer the images to be tighter.....this one does work compositionally as the environs and scale really show through. I do wish for some more light and depth to the insect though perhaps selectively trying to brighten it up a touch.

Composition works for me. Bg is very nice and the blades on left add to the image. I like it.

Thomas, I would also like the bug to be a bit brighter. I agree with Jule about taking a slice off the right but since the BG looks really great, I'm not sure if I'd want to remove any of it. :)
