Daniel, you were certainly at the right place at the right time! Neat action image for sure...

I see parts of the spider that aren't quite as sharp as other parts - not sure if that was from camera movement as you backed up or not - any ideas? I'm seeing more sharpness on the wood right in front of the caught insect than I am on the spider so be sure you're concentrating on getting the eyes/face of the spider in focus as you are shooting.

I really like the contrasting color of the prey, and great details. agree with Julie that the sharpest area seems to be to the left side instead of the spider's head. The hotspots from the strobe are a bit distracting to me. Is there a way to tone those down?

Hey Daniel,
Always tough with these little guys....even at f32. I agree with the others that the focus may have been slightly off....but it is sharp where it needs to be! I like the colors in the OP....so just selectively going after the flash highlights was what I think the others were recommending. One of the reasons I like the twin lights over the single strobe is that it makes the shadows less strong.....only way to do that with one strobe is to bounce or have a reflector.....impossible w/o assistant or setting this up.
I think your OP will work fine .....just tone down the highlights on the legs.
