Hi All
Long trip is over..took me a few days to get back in the swing. Took a few minutes today and looked through my images trying to find the best (in my opinion), to submit for this weeks theme.
I took this image of a male Silverback, at Magic Kngdom a few years back. Converted it to B & W, cropped, masked background and used levels to darken it...Good to be back

Paul, I like this a lot! Beautiful face and angle.
I'd only wish for a view of the right eye as well.

You picked a good image for this effect, Paul. Very nice job with the conversion and masking. There are just enough highlights and details - beautifully done.

Very nice image and application, Paul.

I like the pose as is, just enough of the face to know ... or presume you know ... what he is thinking.

Nice lighting.

Welcome back. ;)

Paul, Welcome back-You've been missed. I think you picked a great image to use this effect on. Nice stare. I might refine the edges just a bit more if it were mine.:)

Thanks everyone for feedback....great trip Cheryl, its unreal how many things to photograph there, scenery, birds (lots upclose), waterfalls (100's) and of course the volcano...Paul

Hi Paul, this really reminds me of a shot from King Kong! Love the chiaroscuro effect and the pose.

You must have a lifetime of images to process now... :)
