First thing in the morning, as we went out, best to work on silhouettes since light is still poor for regular flight.
The rest of the crew were with me :)

Model: Canon EOS 7D
Lens (mm): 105
ISO: 400
Aperture: 11
Shutter: 1/2500

Excellent Fabs, nailed it. This will be a memorable moment for me.

BTW, I would run a ruler through the horizon line I think it is a tad tilted.

Miss you, Al and Axel on the boat.

I did, I think it's an optical illusion.
Thanks!

Now I remember I didn't have to crop, so maybe CS5 didn't do it, or I ran the line the wrong way :)

This turned out really well, I like the composition and banking position and yes to a tad CCW rotation.

Agree with all stated above. Love this, Fabs! Possibly a touch of NR in the treeline, but that's just nitpicking:)

I hope to make a sillhouette this good someday...

Nice golden tones. I also like the balance between the bird, sun, and horizon/water.

I'm thinking some CCW rotation would be good as previously mentioned. Also, not a big fan of the flare on the wing.

The full inclusion of the sun is pretty spectacular. I would be interested in knowing how you did that without blinding yourself, or at least seeing spots for hours.

I didn't know you were shooting with the 7D. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention.

Thanks all.

Colin, I shoot into the sun often, just being careful not to look at it. If you want, you can press the DOF preview button and it will darken the screen. I have never used though, just been fast and careful.

Loved the comp and the shades of yellow-orange. Did you have to do any PP tricks to get rid of the flare? setting the black point and such?

KD, I added black to the blacks in Selective Color.
Thanks!
