When I made this image, I was busy photographing a Kite and the opportunity happened with this subject coming in slowly but very close and thus the reason for a part of the tail not included in the image.

Amazing how similar this species looks compared with the red-winged blackbird, except for the long tail. I like the eye contact and BG. The wing position is not ideal, which makes the underpart of the body look quite dark.
