I had an uneventful day looking for dragonflies but this sedge caught my eye, I am not sure if it will appeal or not - please let me know what you think.:)

What an interesting plant, Jon! I like how you composed and cropped the image. You've got an excellent BG - nice and clean - going for you. Only thing I see is it could have used a little more DOF - maybe f8 - to get that one middle bloom more in focus. Good eye on this one!

I agree Julie f8 would have been better but the background became a little problematical.

Love the comp and the detail in most of the plant. I agree that f8 would have been better. If the BG became problematic I would select it and then add a bit of Gaussian Blur.

I like the simplicity and color of this image. Nice bg. I agree with the need for more sharpness--always a challenge to balance sharpness of subject with blurryness of bg. I also like the subject matter.
