Hi all,

Shot this at the beginning of February on a blustery day at Ft. De Soto Park, Florida. It is full frame, which is unusual because these birds don't let you get too close.

Thanks for looking.

Best,

Jose

Never seen one myself - the red on the beak appears a bit over-saturated and is blown in the histogram.

I like your POV in this one. I agree with Dieter about the saturation on the beak. I'm saving my pennies for the 200-400 lens. Seems like a good versatile choice for bird photography. Even with the TC attached the sharpness looks good.

I like it a lot Jose !!! As mentioned the reds are just a tad over (not much) and would have like to see this bird with a cleaner fg. That being said it is a really good image Not easy approaching these guys Exposure is right one the money showing good highlight and shadow detail

Would crop top and bottom to enhance forward motion and would have loved to see a different leg position without the overlap Big Congrats !!!

Lovely shot, Jose. I like the pose with the raised foot and the eye is great. I find it hard to keep detail in the blacks while avoiding blowing the reds with oystercatchers

Hi Jose,

I like the low angle and vivid colors. I do find the FG a Little too busy but nothing to worry about.
