While doing baby Sandhill Cranes found this soft shell turtle trying to cross the road, sure wish I had a tripod at the time, was hand holding trying to keep up with the colts !!

A central POV that works.

Really like the sheen on the head and those eyes really o ping out. Wonder if the head had been slightly raised may have been a better pose to avoid the dark area that leads into the shell? DOF spot on.

Al - Fantastic capture and smooth as silk at ISO 640. Did you run noise reduction? If not, I'm just going to buy a 7D instead of a Mark IV. Please let me know.

Neat shot Al. The OOF shell contrasts nicely with the sharpness of the head. The shiny wet look of the skin is excellent.
