With so many Ospreys flying around the galleries decided to look for something different ... and these guys were as numerous as the Ospreys at the lake at the Ali Farm !! Got to the point we could not shoot another one !!

Comments Welcome and much appreciated

that's one good looking ugly bird!!! love seeing the details in the blacks. the funky leg position is what makes it for me though!

Fabs favorite :p. Good candidate for the foot motive:D Exposure is dead on, whites and blacks perfect.

Good looking photo Alfred.
I hope you guys are wearing hats out there.
I see you listed a flash and I'm curious if you used it?

Tks, Dave

Good job on bringing out the details on the black. Not easy.

Troy The new CS5 seems to be working a little better with shadow/highlight .. had just about given up with the others. Might give it a try but check at actual pixels for any halos !!

Hi Al. Great exposure and use of flash on a b&w bird. Branch helps the image, along with the 'funky' leg position. Might have liked to see the eye of the bird a bit better.
