Nice story telling here. Like the feathers knocked off to the left of the owl. Nice balance on the exposure to hold detail in the crows without blowing out the whites on the owl. Soft light helped of course.
Did you have to work any magic in post on the exposure?

Very cool capture Jim. Looks like you've applied a gaussian blurr to the background -- it's still pretty busy...I might try increasing it.

I did not blur the bg. I only applied NR to the bg.

How did you get them to come out?
I called him using an GHO call.
