Hello everyone.

Today I want to share with you another image of last week.
This is the typical subject one wants to find when walking in a trail looking for some macro opportunities.;)
Yes, I know, that is not the best perch I could use but there where not too many options available!

Canon 30D
Canon 100mm macro
Tripod
Flash light (to achieve focus)
AV
f/8
1/20sec
ISO 400
Flash as main light -3

Full frame, very minor PS work, some selective color and cloning. I was planning in clone out on catch light but decided to leave it as is.

Comments and advise welcome as usual.:)

Very nice use of flash, Juan. The perch doesn't bother me - I expect frogs to be in such places! The only thing is it doesn't seem to be as in focus as most of the frog. Lovely image, though - that eye is spectacular!

You are so lucky to live where these beautiful frogs occur naturally! :)

I like the comp and colors but it looks a bit dark, especially around the head. If you could also brighten up and sharpen the eye, I think that would help a lot.

I'm really looking forward to more of your local fauna shots.

Hey Juan, very cool critter. Like the positioning and everything looks good but do agree with Ken that it needs some more light on the head.
