I love the shot and the only change I might have suggested would have been to lighten it up a bit. Obviously you already know it looks dark.

I downloaded the image and here it's still dark but not as dark as it appears in your post. It's a mystery to me.

For the heck of it I lightened it up, gave it a contrast boost and ran NR.

Nicely done, Bob. What camera were you using? (I'm trying to figure out who makes a 90mm macro lens?)

I do like the repost better. Not sure why it darkened down on upload. Anyone? Did you convert it to sRGB before uploading?

Julie...I usually work in adobe RGB....then export out of lightroom as Jpeg to a BPN folder for uploading

The yellow against the green is lovely, and that bit of red is a bonus. I like the simplicity of line, shape and color. Scotch Broom has a special place in my heart. Nice image.
