Barred Owl in Mid Blink

Caught this Barred Owl in mid blink today while at a little park about 10 miles from my house. There where actually three of them watching my every move. A really neat experience having them stare at you like this.

Good detail in the talons and beak of the owl. The vertical composition works well with the pose of the bird.
You are lucky to have had the opportunity to capture this image (I have yet to get a Barred Owl).

I like the goofy look and soft light. Is this a young bird? I might tone down of the bright spots in the BG.
