almost dark

I made this picture late on a cloudy day. The weather was bad en the light was poor but I saw this Limosa in the light of the car.

Interesting. I love this species. It looks as if the rear half of the bird is better lit (and sharper) than the front half; the bill looks a bit lost in the dark BKGR. To improve this: lighten the darker portion of the background, sharpen the head and breast of the bird, and add some canvas above.

Artie has pretty much nailed all points here. I liked the tone of the image and would definitely add some canvas on top...
