I like this special white headed duck pose.
Location of photograph was NW of Iran, Gorogol Lake.

We have this species in the South of Spain. It was at the brink of extinction several decades ago but now their populations are growing :)
This pose is part of the typical courtship display. Low angle works very well and exposure seems to be spot on. Too bad that the bird is not paralel to the sensor´s plane. Composition works perfect for me :)

Amir:

Juan hit the high points. When I first saw the image I thought it was a Ruddy duck, similar looking.

Because of its brightness, I would tone down the small reed just in front of the bill.

Very cute, and I love the courtship pose! I would completely remove that reed Rany mentions. I feel the image could use a trim at bottom, but it still works as is. Looking at the ripples the image could also use a bit of CW rotation. Had the head been turned a bit more that would have been perfect!

Like the low angle and ambiance here, agree with comments above.
