This is from October. Cropped from horizontal. The trees behind me blocked the setting sun from the bird, but the bg was still illuminated. Thanks for looking. Andy

Sharp, lovely light, wonderful pose, great background, but you need either a bit more or a bit less on the left side of the frame. As is, it leaves me with a feeling of incompleteness and imbalance...

Great BG colors and pose, Andrew. I would go for a wider crop if you can.

Thank you both. I do have more room available on the left .

Talk about a punchy background :)

Agree on going a bit wider, but quite a nice image, congratulations!

I love this 2.8 lens! I have got one for almost an year and this is the top-grip lens I have ever used. It easily handles 2x and 1.4x teleconvertors stacked!
As i see, you have used the 5.6 apperture - the lowest one and the image is still top quality one. Ohhh, now I begin to remember the good time I have with the 300mm 2.8 lens ... :)

Agree with Artie and would add more to the left...

More on the left looks like consensus. Thanks all.

Very nice shot. The sharpness on the face really makes it.
