This one was taken under the Caribbean sun. The tern was hunting close to me....this time didn't catch anything.

Lorant, loved the high key treatment. Whites look awesome. Beautiful comp, wings, water splash....and wow..what a BG. Complete justice done to the bird.

Beautiful & very bright image! The first reaction was "wOOw" when I saw this!! Just too good.... The water drops adds much more to the image!!

I love the pose and pastel colours of the BG (Kaustubh, high key = all white BG). Terrific timing on your part!

Lorant:

Very nicely captured, great timing.

I wanted to try a version with just a bit more definition in the feathers and a bit more color in the water. This may not convey the same emotion that you were after, but I present it as an option to you.

Randy.

Thank you very much for spending the time for adjusting this image. I do like it and I tried some shadow/highlight adjustments before the post, but I ended up liking the original more. However, this is a nice option too.

Thank you everyone for commenting. It is truly appreciated.

Lorant: I was happy to take the time to work on your very nice image. It lends itself to several different interpretations. The original artist always gets the final say!

Cheers

The original is my strong preference because I like the soft pastel colors and the dreaminess; I don't know if this makes sense to others but to me it has a painterly or maybe even a "Biblical" feel to it. Like Kaustubh, I said, Wow! I like it very much.

I just have to add one more "wow". The white bird is set off so beautifully by that soft pastel background. The pose is perfect. And the splash add just a bit more interest to an already lovely image. Well done!
